Venna lake is one of the major tourist attractions of Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra state in India. The lake was constructed by Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, who was Raja of Satara in the year 1842.
Mahabaleshwar is very scenic and beautiful hill station which offer a lot for tourists and nature lovers. Deep valleys and Mahabaleshwar temple and Panchaganga temple, where five rivers unite and flow through mouth of a cow which later transforms into River Krishna.

The captivating landscape of this magnificent tourist spot was also favored by the British during their colonial rule of the Bombay Presidency.
